Finally, my quads are on the mend. I’ve been managing a couple of easy jogs a week and the occasional hill session over Shotover, wearing plenty of compression on my legs to protect them. It was a great evening to be running, another cool and clear day. I ran in my Hoka One Ones, to give my broken toe a bit of cushioning and they felt great as I bounced along at just under 4min/km.
I didn’t really have much lift of pace for the final km and got mugged by a trio of Alchester/Witney runners in the final kilometre but I wasn’t too disappointed, it was good to be back racing again.
