A bit of a cold day with with a hint of rain in the air, although it held off until after we’d finished. There was a good quality field for this race, it’s part of the Oxon county champs, and as soon as the gun went they were off at a sprint. My plan was for a steady workout though, nothing too mad as I didn’t want to pick up any injuries before next week’s marathon, so I took it fairly steady. Results here (Excel file). My dodgy heel felt OK after the race, so hopefully it’ll be OK after an easy week next week. Stopped for a chat to Jim Thorn after crossing the finish line. I also saw Nik Windle (Audax UK) and Chris Colbeck at the race HQ.

We popped into town in the afternoon, took in the craft fair at the town hall and the closing down sale at Borders. Picked up a few good things for xmas presents, and then stopped for a pint in All Bar One before catching the bus home.
