Cycle 34km (trike)
AM. Cycle 34km (trike), steady, HR 127(151)
Easy morning, I moved the bars up on my trike by about 6cm ready for tomorrow. I needed to spin my legs out and check that the bolts were all tight, so I took it out for a steady spin around Otmoor.
I’m slightly nervous about tomorrow’s 12-hour - it’ll be the longest time I’ve ever spent on the trike by quite some time. I’m aiming for the club record of 221.05 miles. I think I can do about 235, so that’s my schedule – it’s also our club’s “gold” standard. 239.23 miles would be a national veterans age record, but the course is a bit nadgery, so I’m unlikely to get that.
I’ve got my bottles to make up and stuff to get packed, with half an eye on the Tour de France coverage.
